How to Maintain Your Detail Between Appointments

You just got your car detailed and it looks incredible. Here's how to make it last.

1. Park Smart

• Park in shade or covered parking
• Use a windshield sunshade
• If you have ceramic coating, you're better protected — but shade still helps

2. Quick Wipe-Downs

• Wipe down the dashboard and center console
• Clean the steering wheel (it gets grimier than you think)
• Wipe door handles and touch points

3. Don't Eat in Your Car

The #1 cause of interior deterioration between details is food and drink spills. If you must eat in your car, keep a small trash bag handy.

4. Shake Out Your Floor Mats

Every few days, pull out your floor mats and shake them out. This prevents dirt from grinding into the carpet underneath.

5. Bird Droppings and Tree Sap

These are emergencies. Bird droppings are acidic and can etch your paint within 24-48 hours. Remove them as soon as possible with a damp microfiber cloth.
